The case design is not radically different compared to the iPhone 4, which could mean that rather than being a next-gen model, it’s a slight “iPhone 4.5″ redesign for the (supposedly) forthcoming Verizon model of iPhone 4. The case does have a cutout for a SIM card, however, which makes this a somewhat less likely proposition — unless this “iPhone 4.5″ is intended to be a universal GSM/CDMA phone. Naturally, the part could also either be an earlier prototype design or an outright fake.
It may seem early for possible iPhone 5 part leaks, but repair firm iResQ got hold of the iPhone 4′s front faceplate as early as February of 2010. The similarities between this new case and the iPhone 4 case also gel with what I’ve suspected, that the iPhone 5 will most likely be a 3GS-style mini-update of the iPhone 4 rather than a major design shift. The  inevitable has finally happened as the Samsung Continuum has been officially unveiled. The Samsung Continuum has become world’s secondAndroid smartphone with a Super AMOLED touchscreen, but the major advantage is that this one features two Super AMOLED screens.

The Samsung Continuum specs include a primary 3.4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, secondary 1.8-inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.1 OS, 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, and 720p HD video recording, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, pre-loaded 8GB microSD card, six-axis sensor, grip sensor, accelerometer, Stereo Bluetooth, and Bing Search as well as Bing Maps as default apps.

The grip sensor in the Samsung Continuum will allow users to light up the 1.8-inch display by touching the bottom sides of the smartphones. I’m saddened by the fact that Verizon continues to push Bing Maps and Bing Search on Android devices as Google Maps and Google Search are way better.

Another disappointing fact about the Samsung Continuum is that it’s powered by Android2.1, instead of Froyo 2.2. This software has been launched months ago and in the following days, Android 2.3 Gingerbread will become available for download on the Google Nexus One.

From Haifa, Israel, CompuLab announced its tiny NVIDIA Tegra TM2-based desktop. CompuLab has finished designing its smallest and most energy efficient desktop. How tiny is it? The desktop’s thickness is only 0.6”. NVIDIA Tegra 2 is the strongest ARM-based processor today. CompuLab Trim-Slice integrates the NVIDIA Tegra along with all of the compulsory features it bears, including 1GB of RAM, SATA SSD, Dual SDHC and GbE networking.

CompuLab designs Trim Slice by making advantage of the energy efficiency of NVIDIA Tegra. Thus, it can generate a tiny desktop in terms of size; but it is generous in terms of specs. It is aimed at providing the users with PC-like computing experience while allowing them to bring the desktop everywhere. It supports wide arrays of applications, including media player, OPTV, infotainment system, gaming, and internet surfing. CompuLab supports the applications offering miniature rugged and low-power design. It will also come with more than one operating system.

CompuLab Trim-Slice also hosts a variety of stunning specs, such as Wi-Fi, HDMI 1.3 full-HD + DVI display, stereo lineout audio, PAL/NTSC for enhanced video processing, 4 USB2.0 ports, and 1 USB device. In average, the computer requires only 3W. The computer will be available in April, but no information is available on the price yet. However, CompuLab vows that the price of the tiny computer will be lower than that of average
